Preparation for Beard  Transplantation using the FUE method:

Before transplantation, the surgeon determines the donor area for transplantation, calculates the area and amount of the required donor material, and checks the extensibility of the skin. As a rule, the hair is taken from the back of the head. If there is not enough hair on the head to remove the required amount of material, another donor zone is selected (according to the thickness of the hair).

Before the procedure, the patient must follow a number of rules:

• 2 weeks before the appointed date, it is necessary to abandon medications that stop baldness;
• for a week, drugs that affect blood clotting should be excluded;
• a ban on smoking and drinking alcohol.

The Process:

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and takes about 2 hours. At the first stage, the doctor applies a special marking in the transplantation area.

Then the donor material is taken – the skin along with a group of hair roots. In contrast to the patchwork method of transplantation, there is no continuous linear scar in the sampling area, which leads to a fairly quick recovery of the skin of the donor area. The resulting material is divided into grafts.

At the second stage of transplantation, grafts from the donor area are inserted into the thickness of the skin of the beard and mustache. To do this, microscopic punctures or incisions are made, into which grafts are placed using tweezers. To achieve as close to natural hair growth as possible, the surgeon sets the hair follicles at a certain angle.

At the final stage, the beard and mustache area is treated with disinfecting and antiseptic preparations. The amount of work and duration of the procedure depends on the frequency of installation of hair follicles. The result is shown to the patient and the doctor makes a dressing.

Rehabilitation period after Beard Transplantation using the FUE method:

The donor zone is restored within 3-5 days. The transplanted follicles take root in the first month. The first days after the procedure, it is necessary to exclude the contact of the transplanted hair with any surfaces. Within 10 days, it is necessary to exclude activities that cause a sharp change in blood supply and increased sweating. It is not recommended to smoke and drink alcohol. It is also indicated to avoid prolonged exposure to the open sun. During the first week, it is forbidden to touch your face with your hands. Light sports activities are allowed after 10 to 15 days after transplantation. In addition, the first 3 weeks should be excluded from visiting the pool and sauna. After complete healing, the skin of the mustache and beard remains smooth, while maintaining a natural look.
